The military is beefing up security on Android based smart devices and has even issued a grant for $21 million dollars this enhances security around data as it sits at rest on these devices. Hackers were not only able to steal 3.6 million social security numbers, but they managed to steal an additional 16000 unencrypted credit card numbers. The hacker first attacked the system in August. This goes to show that many enterprises out there can be compromised for months and not even know it yet. Wells Fargo was reportedly attacked in the efforts of making a political statement these attacks amounted to the average DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) attack that have been going on for years. Yahoo Passwords Hacked

Yahoo fails to perform proper Application Security Auditing which leads to Yahoo Email being Hacked Yahoo email services was hacked by a group calling itself “D33D” over 450,000 emails were compromised. The hackers used an SQL injection attack to gain access an older password file on Yahoo’s system. The passwords in this file apparently were not salted just like Linked-In. SQL injection exploits the ability for an attacker to input SQL commands into a query and have them execute because there is no validation.
